My comp calls people coviders now and I dont know how to feel about it haha
So an update on Taiwan, another wave of Covid hit here and hit it hard over the last few days. It hit right in taipei and because we're on the outskirts it's not affecting our area too bad but church is online again, kinda wild~
I love Hualian! It's so beautiful and I love my comp and the members, even though I'm super tired the last few days have really been good. (We have a companion in quarantine who literally shared the gospel with the police who checks her symptoms every day😆😆) Its gonna be interesting meeting the members and friends through video instead of person but I guess that's how the rest of the world has been doing it for a year now so its ok啦~
on our way here we almost missed the 4 hour train ride but due to a delay we made it on the train just in time, b l e s s e d~
Speaking of blessed I want to share what my comp told me when covid hit hard. She said we've been prepared for MONTHS to work with people online. We've been moving to video appointments just naturally, so after we heard it's necessary here now, we know what to do. Sometimes the Lord prepares us without us even knowing.
Deuteronomy 30:3
That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.
Stay safe, love you

below is the last few days in sweet Danshui, our sweet and 誇張 district, and ultimate frisbee in the INSANELY hot Hualian weather and more 我要隨便加
Ok so update I'm quarantined in a Taiwanese apartment but at least my comp can cook nice food. Also the members have helped so much that we're eating better in quarantine than we ever did before haha~we're just waiting for the vaccine to be available to missionaries here but hopefully soon.
We have been LOADED with online lessons (one day we had 12 back to back!) and somehow I feel like we're busier than before but also I feel about as exhausted as I did when I first came to Taiwan. Also I miss the sun so bad and it's only been a few days. Send help. But other than that it's pretty great. But also we only have one room with air conditioning.
ANYWAYYY
The miracles we've been seeing make up for the not-going-outside situation, one of them being...
A family we are teaching from English group finally got to video with us and we found out that the parents literally met through English group! Not to mention their wedding pictures are actually taken in our church! It was a wild ride finding this out and we are loving getting to know them more.
This week our meetings were all online. woo.
*Before* we got in quarantine we got to exchange with the 台東 sisters and it was a blast! It's beautiful down there and they are seeing serious miracles~
Last week we went to the beach! It's insane beautiful, pictures below.
So this week I've been studying about the relationship between patience and charity (yes, pretty 適合 my situation) and this is what I found:
"When we are unduly impatient, we are suggesting that we know what is best—better than does God. Or, at least, we are asserting that our timetable is better than His” (“Patience,” Ensign, Oct. 1980, 28).
Did this hit me pretty hard? Ha, yeah, so what can we do to develop patience if it is really so unnatural to us?
I'm still finding that answer, but what I can do right now is have the desire. Have the desire and back this desire up with action.
God sees our efforts and if we trust Him and show Him we are willing to keep moving even though it's hard, we can make it through any situation we will ever face.
Love you, stay safe!
