Hello! Hello!

 fun story to start we ran into a cute lil 阿伯 who was gardening as they do, and started talking to him about what he's planting. After that we asked him if we could help him out and he's like nonono it's fine I'm fine as 阿伯s do so we said bye and started walking away. After that my comp turned around really quick and started yelling "bye bye" to the sweet 阿媽 gardening in the same field but far away. She saw us and ran down to talk to us, turns out she studied in America for years and when we asked her if we could help her garden she said yes! She sent us home with a full bag of lettuce and we'll see her this Saturday~

This week was crazy! I left my sweet Zhunan place, honestly so hard to leave the members, friends and companion I love so much. And then guess what? My Line app (the messaging app we rely on a TON here to contact pretty much everyone) BROKE. So all those people I met over my time in Taiwan, gone. We've been working on contacting them again but it might take a bit 哭哭, but so grateful for the time I had there~

This week so many cool things! 

·We studied outside looking at beautiful 巴黎， which we call an island but don't know for sure ha

·ate shark that a member gave us! (Prolly would not choose to eat often but it was a good first)

·met with lots of friends and families who have greeted us with a SUCH warm welcome

·a member ran into us gave us a lot of fried shrimp and then we RAN to an appointment, did not feel so hot at the top of the hill (the cool part is we made it on time haha)

and soo much more but I'm big time carsick on a kind of dangerous bus so that's all for this week haha!

"I remembered you had a title, but I forgot"

This week not a lot of time but here's what happened:

We were biking and a lady yelled "hey hey missionaries!" the usual. Apparently she is a member from 台中 and she asked us to follow her so we did the natural thing and followed this stranger to who knows where (fun fact this is the second time this has happened😆奇怪) met her super cool friend and we wanna bring her cookies this week

過年 (Chinese new year) is coming and you can feel it in the AIR! Everyone is so stoked to have a whole week off of work and pretty much everything to be with family and give each other money in the classic red envelope (我要紅包，感謝) it's a BIG deal here.

過年 means crazy cleaning our apartment so when it comes we dont have to sweep the blessings away, and I am super grateful to my comp who's teaching me all about these kind of customs in seriously SUCH a cool holiday~

In prep for this week our members had a barbeque, 超級好的烤肉，and guess what I had? A REAL hamburger! It's been AGES. And they used this awesome oven (pictures below) that actually no one knows where it's from haha it's not Taiwanese so your guess is as good as ours.

We started teaching a sweet girl from Veitnam! She has the coolest questions and also works at a Veitnamese restaurant so she brought us super good food to eat with her!

also I ate a cinnamon leaf at that 烤肉~Weird but also the coolest

WE MET A COOL GUY.

 Yes, we met a cool guy! Come to find out, last ten minutes of meeting him, he's like the mayor of the community here in Zhunan and now we have some serious connections! A member wanted to introduce us to him and now he keeps us in the loop of all the service done around the city ALSO now we've got a cool buddy so, win win~

Also, miracles happened this week.  Some of which are as follows:

  1. A woman we've been in contact for THREE transfers finally met with us to eat hot pot, and we started short video lessons with her

  2. That night she invited her friend, her friend brought her 2 kids, and her daughter; they are all SO cool and we're SO glad to meet them

  3. A person met at 711 just scheduled his baptism early for the 14th!

  4. I didn't even fall off my bike wen we carried our way heavy groceries all across our area WOOWOO

Lots of miracles, and I'm taking note that these all happened after a pretty rejection filled week~

Ether 12:12 says:

12 For if there be no faith among the children of men God can do no miracle among them; wherefore, he showed not himself until after their faith.

In all of our lives we have times where we hit our lowest point and only then feel God carry us back up. I think my understanding before was that He'd be there to keep us from reaching that point, but if that were true, why would we have problems anyway? We are stretched beyond our own limitations and this is how He helps us realize our true potential.
