不用拒絕就好

 hello hello

to give you an idea of how this week went let me share with you a few of the creative rejections we recieved WOOWOO
1. We saw a sweet lady working in her garage with the door wide open, so we started walking towards her, she looked at us and closed the door before we even got there
2. I asked a person how her day was(今天好嗎哈哈), she said "it's normal like every day", left, and right in front of us with her coworkers she said "did you see that weird girl? WHY is she asking me about my day?" and then MOCKED my bad Chinese
*and my personal favorite:
3. We stopped at a red light and I started talking to a lady. She looked at me, looked at the light, paused, and RAN that red light to get away

With these pretty rough (pretty funny) rejections, we're developing character for SURE😆 It gives us a chance to really consider if what we're sharing is worth it. Sometimes we get so sick of people staring or rolling their eyes when we could be doing a hundred other things instead of sharing this with a lot of people who 大部分 will just reject it.

Now, Sister Suisse, why do you keep sharing?

I'm glad you asked HA
We keep sharing because of the little pieces of hope we see throughout the day. We keep talking because we believe SO MUCH that Christ cares about every one of us, and that no one is too far to come back to Him. We keep working without pay, without praise, because at the end of the day we know who we report to.

There are tired days, there are days we know we could have done better but every day is a new one that comes with the hope of finding someone who's ready to listen. And there's always Hot Pot too.

Love you, stay safe!

(This week we had zone conference, announced our 光照竹南 project in our ward, ran into a cool lady to teach on the train, visited the CUTEST bb in our ward and started reading scriptures with a lot of the people we're teaching)

Did someone say... Taiwanese facial?

Yes, my friends, this week for our weekly talent share a member showed our ward how to do a whole facial and I was the experiment! She used a lot of coconut oil and it made me break out SO bad a few days later, but it was fun and we're happy she could share~

This week we ate SO much, hence the mean amount of food pictures. Our relief society had a huge 火鍋 party, lots of good food everywhere, and for once we're grateful for all the biking we do in this mission ha~

I've been on my mission for a year! We're still pretty much the baby missionaries though and we've been in Taiwan for about 6 months haha but on this roller coaster for a YEAR!

As for mission news we get a new president in July! He's from Taiwan and attended... get ready... USU!*ahem* best school ever~
Our numbers are getting fewer but we are working harder than ever. Thank you for your prayers.

Love you all, stay safe!

"Don't be afraid to express your love for chocolate"

 Title credit to my comp

This week was a COLD one! People have told me this is the coldest winter Taiwan has seen for 10 years (dont worry mom I've got lots of jackets and I think they're being dramatic too haha) but the humidity does make it feel SO much colder than it actually is.
That being said there are now even fewer people on the streets of Zhunan, but do you think the miracles have stopped? No, sweet beans, they have not!

We invited SO many people to church this week! Seriously tons. Out of those people 4 said they could make it. Sunday comes and except for one, they all bailed! This one woman, though, came and found exactly what she had been looking for. We have been contacting her for a few months now and we're so grateful she left with a good feeling.

Ran into another little ama who was weeding but let me tell you these weeds go so deep! Like 3 feet into the solid ground so we were pretty much 完蛋了 when we went to help, soo this week we're taking some members who garden to help her out.

Passed my book B test! Miracle! I can't wait to not be illiterate here, ha

On the topic of miracles, I want you to think about what they mean to you. Do they need to fit a mold? Do they have to be seen by lots of people?
I'm still looking for the answer but  what they are to me right now are little moments that I better recognize when I'm ready to see them. How can we prepare ourselves to see miracles?
Honestly just curious,
love you!

阿嬤時間

Okay sit down and get ready for a STORY

We're walking on the street and we see a lil ama just doing her thing so we stopped and started talking to her. Super sweet, super cute and then she invites us to her home! We walked up with her to our house and chatted with her (she likes talking about fitness) for a while and then ALL OF THE SUDDEN
~picture this, a 75 year old sweet little Taiwanese ama~
Starts JUMP MARCHING, I dont know how to describe it in any way other than that, to show us how she stays fit at her age! We watched in horror and amazement as she proceeds to DO THE SPLITS in front of us! Okay I'm not gonna lie this point I was ready to book it with my comp😆 but we stayed for a few more minutes and it turns out that she's looking for some peace in her life and wants to make things right with her family members. This is what we're sharing! So wacky and so cool!

This week we also traveled to a way far away house in 其定 at night and way close to the beach! We went through some super cool woodsy areas and some backroads with stray but super nice dogs (I guess that's a big thing here haha) and it was an adventure!

Our friend Ellie wants to move up to Taipei and we are 傷心 SO SAD but she needs to move for her job. She wants to learn more about God and His plan for her. She's been learning really fast and we are so excited to see where she goes from now.

It's been an awesome week and talking with Ellie has helped me reevaluate my relationship with God. Does He know me? Everyday I'm learning that He does and He loves us all, regardless of where we are or where we've been.

Loveeee you!
